The evaluation of a coal ash deposit is done by carrying out an exploration program that analyzes the potential of the deposit by determining the quantity and quality of the ash for use in different industrial applications.  The exploration of the deposit is similar to what is done in mineral exploration programs by obtaining representative samples either by trenching or drilling the landfill.  A specification is then developed for the laboratory analysis of the representative samples.

Based on the results of the laboratory work, a Design Criteria is developed, which becomes the basis to define the type of process equipment and material handling system. The CapEx and OpEx and an economic evaluation of the project are determined.  All of the above is presented in a Report to assist our clients in determining the viability of the investment.

Once the feasibility of the project has been verified and authorized to proceed, we can provide assistance with the next phases, including design of the facility, equipment procurement and construction management.
